The Ender (Extinction Series) Print

Extinction evokes horror, struggle and death. Yet there is also a peace at the end that we forget at the end of a life, as life stops in time and begins living in eternity. The Extinction Series juxtaposes the dark terror of death and the brilliance of eternity as the audience is invited to reflect on the darkness and brightness of the shiny saturated surface. "The Ender" depicts a image from when I was younger. I wondered what God/Death would really look like. The illustrations of a genial grandfatherly God in my children's Bible did not fit the words I found in the Old Testament. And it was in this dark memory that I made this personal drawing... it's quite daunting at A1 size, but captures the magnitude of who we might meet when life ends, whether it's God, Death or maybe they are one and the same.
