About The Artwork
This graphite pencil drawing is the Tulipa, Tulip 'Mekka Melody' and is from an original study made at Hortus Botanicus, Amsterdam (the flower synonymous with the Netherlands). I love the shape, texture and structural dimensions of flower heads. As biodiversity diminishes I like to visit botanical gardens around the world. The drawing is produced on the beautiful Arches grain satin, hot pressed paper. It is an original, although NFS, but available as limited edition prints.
