About The Artwork

This artwork is a part of an installation consisting of six oil paintings on a jacket. Traveling in Istanbul, the city her live in, always reminds her of her mother. When she is traveling in this city, she feels like her mother,... enjoy, relaxed and always changing mood. ....enjoy relaxed and always changing mood. She set up this installation at a stage where she saw everyone around her starting to move to another country to live better. If she left, she thought that everything about her vital values, her memories, the people she loved, her life and her problems would come to where she would go. If everything is coming, you don't have to go. If everything and everyone is coming, let the last door close! This picture was made to solve problems to go and stay. She could risk going and staying, but what's left? Can those who are left behind in this country get rid of this risk? In the face of uncertainty, life and decisions can sometimes be like gambling. This is an image that is part of this installation. And he wrote and drew her own vital values ​​and concepts on jackets, turning them into symbols. Each of the jackets became a conceptual art, expressing a separate conceptual form and a general concept of this installation. And in this picture, jackets symbolizing the whole concept play poker to win the whiskey symbolizing “rising value”. This installation was in '' New Suggestions - New Propositions 7 '' Exhibition, Borusan Art Gallery / Istanbul / Turkey in 2001. The art has appeared in many press and magazines.Several photographs of the installation in the gallery area and some of the news in the Turkish press about the exhibition appear on the screen.
