About The Artwork

From my Breathe project, in which I use my old paintings to seed 3D digital images. This work is a render from my small painting entitled Bloom. I post a new image nearly every day to my Instagram account @dragonsmackart Here on Saatchi, I offer only a few of those that I view as more suited to be print. My portfolio at Art Archive is a convenient way to view my works and see how they have progressed over time. https://www.artworkarchive.com/profile/tim-mcgill

We are as Gods, yearning for experience. My lifelong interest in creativity has manifested in many ways, from early acrylic painting to the development of several small businesses to finding creative ways to make my way financially. In the past few years, I've focused some of that energy on painting, and 3D modeling/rendering. The technical side of digital art is very compelling and I expect to produce a lot of fine work as I explore bringing together my ideas of abstraction of artistic creation with the increasingly powerful tools in the screen space. I am most interested in images that juxtapose detail with simplicity. I look to create compelling visuals with a bit of mystery or abstracted story. I have very little interest in photorealism, although the skills involved can certainly be helpful. Portland, Oregon is my hometown, both as a child and most of my adult life, aside from four years in the Air Force and about 3 years living in Philadelphia.
