About The Artwork
In the Yucatan penula there are around 450 cenotes, aquatic caves that have been telling stories for millions of years. This painting represents that history, its shadows and textures that plunge into depths physically unreachable for the human being, but possible for the soul according to the Mayan culture. Digital painting opened a door of hope in me. Since I was diagnosed with continuous partial epilepsy, the smells in the paints and the media caused many of my seizures. But I couldn't stop painting. A window opened up to a world of possibilities with digital painting. Because if a creative soul does not paint, it is extinguished.

I am Patricia and I love textures. Painting was my communication channel since I was little. Although in the process, I was diagnosed with continuous partial epilepsy, a reason that took me far from brushes and paints because this caused me more seizures. But digital painting gave me the opportunity to continue creating and expressing myself. Of Latin and Slavic influence, my paintings convey every detail of my history.
