About The Artwork
A minimalist digital watercolor painting on a cotton rag paper canvas, of cosmetics featuring a bottle of Clinique Pop Liquid lip color in Sweetie Pop and a tube of Clinique lipstick in Glazed Berry, both very vibrant pinks, on a simple white background. My still life painting includes an array of splatters, smudges and drops one would expect to see with wet watercolor. Clinique, a subsidiary of Estée Lauder, was one of the first cosmetic companies to care about what they put, and didn't put, in their products. They are known for luxury cosmetics designed by dermatologists that are allergen free and fragrance free, perfect for people with sensitive skin (like me). And now I realize I missed my calling in life, I should have in a spokesperson for Clinique! Perhaps I should seriously contemplate my career choices.

My mind lives in a rather strange world of its own, in a state which I tend to refer to as "delightfully twisted." Through my art, which I am vehemently determined to continue to create with as little outside influence as possible, I work to interpret the concepts my mind creates in a moment-by moment barrage of ideas. Though my work manifests itself in many different ways, from the delicate transparency of digital watercolor, to the no-holds-barred starkness of noir photography, to even the fanciful abstract-turned-conceptual properties of my fractal art, the undercurrent that binds them all is my love of surrealism. I prefer the worlds my mind creates to the one in which I live, and though I create all my art to please myself as a rule, nothing thrills me more than when it speaks to someone else as it does me.
