About The Artwork

A meditative retreat. A tranquil and intimate conversation. A sentimental journey. A transcendent quilt of color to both charm and delight. An affectionate offering toward healthy togetherness. A seven year journey led Graham to discoveries that fulfilled a prophetic word about him developing a new artistic style. Graham has entitled this movement "Transcendent Quilts". Inspired by the layering techniques of Monet, Graham adapted the style when using acrylics. While living in Israel for a season, a new style began to emerge. While teaching at the School of Illustration, in Kona Hawaii he painted an oversized plywood sheet—composed of blocks of color—that nearly used up all the schools acrylics. Graham continued to evolve using squares in his paintings and then composing them in the digital realm by stitching bits of his traditional paintings together into modern masterpieces.
