ABOUT THE ARTWORK

“Girl On Fire” is part of a larger portfolio, “See What I Hear”, of illustrations based on song lyrics. “Girl on Fire” is a song by Alicia Keys. The song is about letting go and following your passion. According to Keys, “Before making this record, in some ways I felt like a lion locked in a cage. I felt like a girl misunderstood that no one really knew, I felt like it was time to stop making excuses for any part of my life that I wanted to change. Once I made that choice I became a Girl on Fire, the lion broke free!” The image size is 12 x 12 in. with a 2 in. boarder. The paper size is 16 x 16 in. Each print is produced in an edition of 33 on acid free archival paper and signed and numbered in the boarder below the image.
