A self-taught multi-disciplinary artist, Ishati pursued her Higher Education in Buddhist Studies which is often reflected in her works. Despite not taking any formal education in Art she has always been devoted to her passion for Art. Ishati has an observant mind because of which she has always been open to new possibilities and ideas. Her work is never bounded to any particular technique or medium. She was very young when she learned knife painting and she didn't pick up brushes for a very long time. Experimenting with new mediums and creating something that makes people stop and think is the ultimate goal of her works. Her Educational background played an important role in shaping her art style, Studying Buddhism and understanding at a core level made her a more disciplined Artist, understanding her artworks at a deeper level and representing it through the canvas. How did Buddhism open her up to the World of Abstract and Contemporary Art? Slowly started analyzing her work and started moving toward the contemporary and abstract form of art rather than focusing on the realistic imitation of an object. Elements, Forms, Colors and lines used to depict the unseen images of her reality.
