My Body Is My Homeland - Limited Edition of 111 Print

Born on a farm in East Anglia under John Constable skies I have a relentless passion for creativity in my work and a desire to transfer the energy of optomismn and clear uplifted colour synergy through painting printmaking and Glasswork. There are of course thousands of influences but being on the road through india and south east asia, spirituality, ritual and meditation are perhaps the greatest . My practise explores memories and instances of colour euphoria in filmwork, digital photographic painting processes, and traditional fine art processes . The planet we inhabit is a vital life force I celebrate through colour synthesis, some call it kinesthesia. Its catharsis for me to attach optimism to crisis through a colour "voice" in many mediums. The palette expresses the joyous lived experience I have with vibrant pigments and the landscape and here I practice faith and devotion to spiritual growth in each now moment with making art. I attempt to capture the daily ritual of prayer and painting, journeying through life as a devotee of existence being present in the moment and using colour as the transportation vehicle. The , colours, emotions and sensations absorbed integrated and expanded through consciousness outwardly in my creative feedback loop of seeing. The intention is that there is some emotional key allowing an audience to tune in to "colour-sound" I experience through creating. A resting place where MIND becomes subservient for a time to the aesthetics rhythms and emotions of pure colour . Dream like states, the bridge between this real world and the unknown transcendental and immersive euphoric states are often themes I attempt to explore I gladly share my experiences of travelling with colour and the light and hope it gives some Joy or Serenity for a while from a chattering MIND ​Enjoy.
