Art Description: Tai O, 2005 (TinyHongKong Collection) Location: Tai O Camera: Nikon FM2 Print on Textured Cotton Rag paper 310 gram *The artwork was developed from the film more than 10 years ago. We did a lot of procedures including handcraft and AI enhancement to make this work comes true, from a low-resolution photo, and make it paint-liked texture. It’s fun to try and error many times in this experimental process. It may not be perfect, but the imperfection made it Art. Story of the Artwork: This artwork was taken with my Nikon FM2 Camera in 2005. I born in Hong Kong and I really love this tiny international city from my heart. You can find the traditional and modern features in this place. HK is a place with mixed Eastern and Western cultures, a perfect place to do business and everyone can find their desired lifestyle here. Apart from the developed city lifestyle, there is totally different part of rhythm on the island. I remember the photo was taken in the early morning staying in my friend’s home, which is located in Tai O. Tai O is a fishing town, partly located on an island of the same name, on the western side of Lantau Island in Hong Kong. It seems that I could smell the atmosphere of traditional salted fish and shrimp paste sold at storefronts. I really love such peaceful scenery and love to capture it as my private memories collection. Hope that my Artwork in TinyHongKong Collection reminds people or collectors of the beauty of this tiny beautiful island. That's the story of this artwork. Hope you love my Artwork.
