Mixed media art on wood panel, ready to hang. I love working with faces and combining 2 people to create a third imaginary one. This piece is from the series "Supermodels and Other Found Objects" where I combine 2 models from current ad campaigns or editorials, with images of industrial objects found in my neighborhood. The look of my work is influenced by street art. I have lived in the Arts District of downtown Los Angeles for many years, using the streets as backdrops for my fashion photography and videos and I have observed tons of street art come and go. One thing that always appeals to me is the way posters become weathered and images are accidentally adorned by paint drips. When I started working with mixed media, I felt compelled to recreate some of these elements in my own artwork. This work was inspired by the idea that someday humans may live on Mars.

Italian-born, California-based Anyes Galleani is an award-winning visual artist whose work has received international recognition. A former fashion photographer and video director, Anyes has created art throughout her life using photography, photomontage, collage and paint and has been a full-time artist since 2012. For manyl years, Anyes’ studio and later art gallery were located in the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles and her work consisted of pop art influenced by street art and by her fashion background and urban surroundings. In 2021 Anyes moved to the California countryside where she has been inspired to create abstract art. However, her core style has not changed being still reminiscent of pop & street art, featuring bright colors, paint drips and an unmistakable rawness characteristic of her work.
