wedding day lighting - Limited Edition 1 of 5 Print

Once again I am trying to capture light in a scene to give it a spiritual effect. When I say capture I mean create since I am contstructing the image digitally. I used to take wedding pictures concentrating on the art side while my partner got the standard line up the relative pictures which he was very good at. Some of the best ones were taken in the brides house as she got ready, usually with the dress hanging up just catching the light through the window and the bride panacking. It was great to capture the person but a lot of it was about the lighting. I would check out the church in advance and ask the vicar or priest to postion the cusion they knelt on slightly different to catch the light coming from the church window which would then cascade accross the bride and groom.They had never been asked that before or noticed he light coming in and leaving the bride and groom in the shade. This image captures a bit of that.
