This painting is an evocation of the 2 world wars of the last century. It was made as a tribute to the soldiers who fought for our peace and freedom. In the chaos of battle, one can see the shape of a flying dove, symbol of peace. He carries with him poppies that represent our glorious fighters. The title is also a tribute to these wars, and it was only named by their end year in hope that they will never be repeated again.
