Coming from a family of American artists, Karin began her professional art career in Scandinavia. In Sweden, she worked as a free lance artist for Sandic Hotels, creating original artwork for their hotel lobbies. Although her pieces are extremely time consuming to create, her work transfers energy & balance to the mind of the viewer. Dahlstrom's subject matter often includes fractal structures, bird and insect wings painted on various mediums. Karin works in acrylics, oils, mixed media, often incorporating Swarovski crystal and gold leafing in her work. Karin Dahlstrom is a fine arts graduate of NCCC(SUNY) & Buffalo State College. She continues to inspire herself through Oxford University's DLP and is an aficionado of Insular Zoomorphic, Nordic & Migratory Period Art.
