About The Artwork

Duesenberg Automobile & Motors Company, Inc. (sometimes referred to as "Duesy") was an American manufacturer of luxury automobiles. The painted Duesenberg is a 1930 Model J. Founded in Des Moines, Iowa, United States by brothers August Duesenberg and Frederick Duesenberg, the company's principal place of operations moved to Auburn, Indiana. Duesenberg was active in various forms from 1913 to 1937. I have been interested in classic luxury cars for decades. The 1930 Duesenberg sells for millions of dollars. Art Deco started after World War I and continued until the late 1930's. It is an eclectic style that combines traditional craft motifs with Machine Age imagery and materials. The style is often characterized by rich colors, bold geometric shapes and lavish ornamentation.

L. Wade Allen is a contemporary artist located in Central Texas, USA. Through his painting, he conveys human emotions and ideas utilizing acrylic, oil, encaustic and other mediums on gallery-wrapped canvas and occasionally on wood panels. His work is influenced by Michael Lang, Phillip Wade and masters such as Picasso, Arthur Segal, Monet, Frank Stella and Van Gogh. Much of his work is experimental and eclectic. The painting process is occasionally spontaneous but normally requires months of reflection and revision. Wade works with brushes (small, large and mural), knives and templates. The pigments are of the highest quality: Golden and Liquitex acrylics paint; Richardson, Winsor&Newton, Holben oil paints. Wade utilizes hue, color value, intensity, texture and composition to provide a long-lasting interest and beauty to art collectors.
