About The Artwork

This artwork was born as an echo of my paintings "197 - To the Moon #2" and "206 Variación Azul / Rojo Coral". It was sort of a "merge" between both. There was no premeditated meaning in the merge, just a hunch. But it was interesting how meaning got discovered later... The painting "To the Moon #2" was, between other things, an ode to the 2020/2021 crypto bull market... and this painting, 215-Bear Market, was started on December 15th 2021, just a couple of days after the bear market started (although nobody knew then we were already in that waters)... The title of course came to my mind round march / april 2022 when the painting was in its final brush strokes before being finished... It was almost impossible not to call it that way looking backwards in time.... PS: red for losses / green for profits

I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Started my journey in art attending to painting classes since I was 9 and never stopped from then. Although the path has been rocky many times, making art for me is a lighthouse that shines a light over my life and helps me try to understand where I am and where I am going. And if by chance I get to discover any answer or clue by doing my practice, not only it helps myself but it may also those who get in touch with my work and can resonate with its message. Messages that are not premeditated. Just felt in my heart and humbly transmitted. No mental concepts to call for assisted reflections. I think of my work as an opportunity to delve into a groove that transcends my existence. To navigate through it and be at the disposal of the unexpected, of the unknown, of everything that was, is and will be. A furrow of exploration of what surrounds me, of the visible and the invisible. The process, the experience and the uncertainty above the mental concept, above reaching a certain destination. And in the transit of experience, the findings. Findings that many times even transcend my ability to understand. Registered in each brushstroke, in each gesture, in each choice.
