ABOUT THE ARTWORK
"A Void In Our Prayer" is an appropriation to Giovanni Battista Salvi da Sassoferrato's "The Virgin In Prayer" (c.1640 - 1650). This work was a result of surrealistic approach in paintings, and used as a valuation method for painting studio at Institut Teknologi Bandung. The artist's choice of the subject matter; in this case is an Virgin Mary, was because of his interest towards catholic icons.
