The trail head elevation at Angels Landing sits at 4,300 ft. and has an elevation gain of 1,500 ft. as you hike up. The trail width is as little as four feet wide in some areas, with a 1,500 foot drop on both sides. The final climb to the summit is a scary 500 feet of elevation. If you are overcome by panic at this point, relax and take a breath, because it gets worse -- much worse. Visitors are encouraged to never slip or stumble. In fact, falling is strictly illegal and ruins the scenery for other people.

Ken Church is full time professional artist from York, England. Primarily interested in large canvas acrylic paintings of wildlife and nature.
