ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is an oil painting capturing the moments of a dying sunflower in my back yard. As it fades it slumps and gives a human-like essence to it. Painted in archival Classical Realism style with layers of glazes for the shadows and thicker opaque paints for the lights, giving the painting depth beyond what a photo can show.
