About The Artwork
In South Africa there is a vibrant mix of ethnicities. I am playing with the use of our language, the derivitive meanings of the words we use and the feeling ghosts behind the colonial and racial history of native people. This is all in a quest to challenge our thinking about the similarities and differences of our races and cultures, to judge another according to oneself and what that even means. We are all collective consciousness, we are all one, yet we are infinitely individual and separate in our differences.
