About The Artwork
We are living in times where wilful ignorance of self-centered overconsumption is the accepted norm. People vote with their eyes closed, slaughter with their bellies full, and luxuriate at the expense of everyone else. Human egocentrism is overrunning the planet. Unless we change, mother nature will pull us back in line in her own way. In line with the human-centric theme, this piece was painted on the floor using using acrylics and a palette knife to produce streaks resembling raw human movement. These streaks are layered to build an intricate texture resembling scars and is finished off with contrasting humanesque marks. The artwork comes on pre-stretched gallery wrapped canvas and is varnished in a semi-gloss finish with black painted sides. Hanging hardware is not included.
