About The Artwork

"Artifacts" is a vibrant abstract composition inspired by ancient rock paintings and Kandinsky's paintings. Using basic colours in acrylic—black, yellow, and white—along with terracotta-colored oil sticks, this piece pays homage to the palette available centuries ago. Bold splashes of color interplay against the beige backdrop, reminiscent of the earth's hues. This contemporary interpretation resonates with the primal expressions of the past, inviting viewers on a visual journey that transcends time.

"Abstract art became a means for me to handle conflicting emotions after becoming a mother. My art celebrates the power of womanhood, while blending femininity, emotionality, and sencitivity. Through my work, I invite viewers to explore the strength and resilience inherent in feminine energy, finding empowerment in vulnerability and creativity." - Olga Sorokina _______________ Olga Sorokina is the author of the book "The SKETCH.
