About The Artwork
'Bathers': This composition is inspired by and related to the classic 'Bathers' subject. I am having this work on one of my walls so what I can tell you from my own experience and from feedback is: The work has an all-over color theme which surrounds the painting and which creates a warm light in the room. There is a monumental aspect in this work, it is unusual, but seductive. The balanced composition, the stable sculptural forms and the expression of the large figure create a calm, stable and relaxing atmosphere. Oil on canvas. Signed on the back. Due to its size this artwork is shipped rolled up in a tube. It needs to be re-mounted onto a stretcher to hang.

For my drawings charcoal is most important for me, because of its archaic and basic power and because of its tenderness.
