About The Artwork
I am inspired to paint beauty, not for the sake of beauty but as a reminder of the deeper essence of what that is to me. Harmony, balance, inner peace. The external painting serves as a reminder and evidence of that within which can never be affected by that which is changing. I paint these images as visual love songs,testaments to all things good and pleasing and appeasing in times of unrest. Not in a static state but with the intention that the image emanates an aliveness an energy into the space it inhabits. That is very important to me the spirit of things. Thats really what I am capturing. I use mixed media because I am an extremely tactile person and my process is very tactile in that utilizing various materials both enrichens and inspires my process as well as creates a rich visual landscape.
