About The Artwork
This painting began with a photo of my nieces playing on a sandy beach, and as I worked on it, the scene turned into a night scene, and then into some kind of interior. As it is now, it makes me think of gloppy gooey paint that becomes a beautiful mess, and the carefree playful spirit of my nieces seems to come through, even though the beach is now hidden under the layers.
