About The Artwork
On December 3, 1976, the assassination of famed Jamaican reggae musician Bob Marley was attempted - he was hit in the shoulder and chest and his wife, Rita, was hit in the head. Miraculously, both survived this attack. The event inspired Bob to write the song "Ambush in the night". As a painter, I was inspired by the poem to visually represent this event.
