About The Artwork
Inspired by the experience of having a child (Our boy is just over one years old.) The nurturing, responsibility , the pressure to provide.. the amount of time it takes up in your day, conflicting points of view we might have from time to time around how to best care , depicted here with elephants locking tusks. The mother doing whatever it takes to feed her child depicted in the red dog with missing back leg sold to the figures in the background. Baby lobster drinking milk from the bottle. The painting is composed using a four element grid which creates a circular flow to the composition. Plenty of metaphors and symbolism.
