Break dancing Print

In this painting an ode to dance is being attempted. The break dancer, upside down in an admirable dancing figure, a surrealistic background, some melting buildings, vivid colors, and a soft cloudy spiral. Each element in this artwork empowers the feeling of moving. Heraclitus said, everything flows, everything is constantly changing. Dancing, being an area of constant move and change, is a great place for this law to be expressed. Its also said that different forms of arts, stay connected. Painting, music, poetry, dance, love each other. Personally, I am one between the many, painters that love, really love, dance. And I have painted lots of paintings around flow, moving, dance. During 2009- 2010 I did three, same size and format, oil paintings, dedicated to dance. This break dancing artwork was the first from the three. Years after, still in love with this concept of move and flow, I created the “motivation” collection, dedicated again to rhythm.
