ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I usually start painting when certain symbols come to my mind and after that I see what they mean, not the other way around. So this time I wanted to draw lotuses. For some reason, this flower is primarily identified with India, but for me it is one of the symbols of Ukraine, because it also grows on our lakes. In esoteric practice, the lotus flower gets rid of negative vibrations. It is believed that the amulet can be a photo of a lotus or its art image. In many Eastern religions, the pink lotus flower symbolizes spiritual enlightenment. The flower emerges from the muddy water where it was born and blooms in the sun. It symbolizes the ability of the human soul to transcend the filth of this world and achieve enlightenment. It is not for nothing that my first association with the flower is awakening, wisdom. That is why the name of the picture is "Cognition". Also, at first I wanted to paint a picture in light colors, but often in the process I improvise and it turns out differently. This is how the purple color became predominant, and this is precisely the color of the 7th chakra, which symbolizes the connection with the Higher Self. This is such a mystical picture 🙏

Natalya was born in 1988 in the small town of Semenivka, Chernihiv region in Ukraine. Since childhood, she loved to draw and showed herself creatively in every way. In 2013, she attended a series of master classes on various painting techniques and since then fell in love with oil painting. At first, I tried to paint in different genres, but I realized that I like painting pictures depicting female fantasy portraits the most. In total, since 2013, she has painted more than 40 paintings. Currently, in connection with the war in Ukraine, I live in Cyprus, where I continue to paint new pictures
