About The Artwork
Complexity. In my perception I see traits in people that I want to understand. When I find individuals with high standards of morality, I desire to see all layers of the personality. I see their individuality the sense of self. I find myself intrigued and try to understand and emulate these traits in some way. This painting reflects those "layers" and represents the strong individuals who I have met along my journey. This interpretation is layered on multi levels with florescent paint and an automotive flake. Comes with hardware for hanging. The purchase of each of my paintings includes a black light to help you enjoy the total beauty of my work.

Hello, my name is A. Dudley Buchanan. I am a self taught artist who works in mixed media and steel. First, a bit of history. I was born in El Paso, Texas, where my father worked for the railroad. We moved to California when I was one year old and it has been home ever since. I am a hyper-active dyslexic eccentric artist. We can review other quirky things about my character another day. I find it necessary to create art when I am in an emotional spectrum. My mind will always turn to making art and it is my coping skill. I try to relate to the real world through my art and freeze the moment. The raw emotions that are going on, whether they be happy or otherwise helps me get out what I'm feeling.
