About The Artwork
This piece is based off of a recurring dream that I had. Not knowing the outcome of this dream I chose to dive into the meaning of it further by creating this piece. The bear on the left represents me at my best; healthy, strong and courageous. The woman on the ground is also me, shown as my other self; sick, weak, and scared. The wolf on the right is the conflict that often goes unseen by others, the desire to be the bear but in reality being the carcass that it is standing on. We all have internal conflicts inside of us and how we survive them is dependent on the self that we chose to show to others; the bear or the carcass.

Lindsey graduated from Penn State University with a BFA and post bac in ceramics and a minor in psychology. From 2014 to 2015 she was the Valentine & Clark Westchester Community Foundation Emerging Artist at the Clay Art Center. Currently, Lindsey has her studio at her home in Ossining, NY where she is a member of the Ossining Arts Council and frequently shows her work at the local coffee shop and restaurants. In addition to her ongoing studio work she is the Program Manager for the national Creative Aging organization Lifetime Arts, based in New Rochelle, NY. She is also an established Teaching Artist, conducting more than 350 classes in the past four years. She continues to teach art classes to the community on weekends and evenings.
