Inspiration came from the fantastic shifting light of sunset, the birds that do their last flight before nightfall. The mangroves are a place I love to do kayaking - this painting captures those moments on the water. Threads and subtle shades of paynes grey, yellow and red placed in successive washes best portray this fleeting and magical moment.
