Yoshirou Arisumi was born and worked in Fukuoka, Japan (1900-1990). He studied under 3 prominent Japanese artists and self-taught in 1930's Paris. His works contains traditional Japanese painting, oil, water color, and sculpture. Though he got the inspirations from landscape, city-scape, and nature, he used different medium, styles, and methods to express. Later he traveled extensively in southern Japan and Okinawa and painted landscapes and portraits.
