VIEW IN MY ROOM
'Flowers in a Soup Can' abstract flowers painted in mixed media. Gemstones, beads and sequins are collaged into the flowers, along with some real leaves and an Andy Warhol soup can. The famous soup can raises some questions about copyright and iconic images. Andy Warhol himself used this design which was created by another artist. The designer of the original Campbells Soup label was an in-house designer whose name was not recorded. Many famous contemporary artists, such as Jeff Koons are keeping Pop Art, started in the 1950s, alive today. The painting is ready to unwrap and hang, or it can be taken to a professional framer for a specially made canvas frame if preferred. I have signed the painting on the front and on the back.
