Oil on canvas with edges painted as part of the scene. Finished in soft sheen art varnish to avoid lighting glare, strung and ready to hang. Four Winds refers to the house on the hill. It stands on the site of an old stone cottage that had the same name. One of a series of narrative paintings, set in the Mountains of Mourne in County Down Northern Ireland, telling a story of Rosie McCann. This painting depicts Rosie's daughter, also called Rosie and the Shetland Collie dog Was Tina, my (the artist's) dog.
