ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Ganesha is the Indian god of abundance with the head of an elephant. He is considered the patron of business, the god of wealth, who removes obstacles from the path of those who strive for success. The appearance of Ganesha may not please at first sight. The head of the animal and the squat thick body somehow do not fit together very well. But Ganesha is the patron of people of a subtle mind who are not deceived by their outward appearance. Whoever is unable to see the Divine in Ganesha falls victim to the rational mind, which is the greatest obstacle to spiritual development. Ganesha is depicted as squat, with a large belly, four arms (sometimes six, eight, and maybe even sixteen) and the head of an elephant with one tusk. In three hands he holds an ax, a lasso and, sometimes, a shell. The fourth hand can be depicted in the gesture of "giving gifts", but most often he holds a fret - a sweet ball of pea flour. His small eyes shine like gems. He sits on a rat, or she accompanies him. According to legend, the rat was once a demon, but Ganesha curbed it and made it his mount. This demon symbolizes vanity and insolence. Thus, Ganesha conquers false vanity, pride, selfishness and insolence.

Our life consists of many moments - joyful and sad, happy and tragic. From these moments the picture of our life is formed. Whether it will be positive and bright or negative and gloomy depends on the individual's perception of his own experiences. I paint every moment of my life on canvas with a dot. Thus, I cognize my true Self in the projection of the Universe. My name is Ksenia, I'm from Ukraine. I am an artist and designer, graduated from art school and the Institute of Design. I own the classic technique of watercolor painting, black and white graphics ink and pen. My paintings were exhibited at the state exhibitions of Ukraine, there were also personal exhibitions. After graduation in 2006, I became fascinated with spiritual practices. And it completely changed my life. I moved to live in another country in Georgia. After a trip to India, I opened a mandala channel. In 2015, I began to draw mandalas in the Dot Painting technique. All the mandalas I paint in meditation. I never know what the mandala will look like at the end. Each mandala is unique. No mandala can be re-drawn, just as you can not return the last moment.
