About The Artwork

Genesis is about our future—a child born in the near future symbolizes hope. The artist leaves the rest for viewers' interpretation. Bahadori has used the full range of contemporary art-making techniques from digital to modern paint applications, sanding, removing, and rebuilding section by section; mosaic by mosaic. He has created the general composition through the digital collage of photography including photos he took of his painted studies. Then he has printed it piece by piece on archival material and collaged them on the canvas, sometimes completely reinventing each block through repainting. The surface texture of each tile is different making it hard to show in the photo of the painting. Please review the close-ups in the additional images to get a better idea.
