Li Zhien, born in Dalian,China in 1971, is an allied painter and calligrapher of Taiwan Xingji Jigou, and his calligraphic works have won the "Excellence Prize of Wutai Mountain Cup National Calligraphy & Painting Contest" and the "Excellence Prize of National Calligraphy & Painting Contest in memorial of 100th Anniversary of Mao Zedong's Birthday." Yellow Butterfly, his traditional Chinese painting, has won the Holy Painter Prize of National Calligraphy & Painting Contest in memorial of Holy Painter WU Daozi. In his thirties, he started painting a series of his unique horses and also abstract art that consists of the Chinese character “爱 (love).”
