Goodnight Print

This painting was inspired by the death of a family member, one who I wasn’t as close with as I would have liked. I created this as a catharsis for all the regrets I had surrounding their passing. A white rose, a symbol of mourning in the language of flowers, is placed upon a sea of night. A reminder that it is not goodbye, just an “until next time”. The painting is signed both on the front and back, along with the year. The canvas is on a stretched wooden frame which can be placed directly on a picture hook (no hanging hardware has been added to minimise damage during transport). The canvas has a black painted edge so framing isn’t necessary. The majority of the packaging materials have been/can be recycled to minimise the carbon footprint.
