There is something pathetic to speak things that lived. Capitalised nature withered, curled up in front of us is frozen, inert before disappearing. Study still life leads to extract its power to detect in the permanent. Hence the words of Ecclesiastes comes back to me "Vanities of vanities, all is vanity" literally means light breath, ephemeral steam. The message focuses on reflection on our fleeting adventure that combines probably the present. The Hostas emerge in spring to disappear in the automn. It's so commonplace that we forget the extraordinary side and wonderful! The leaves turn into drying to appear before me better and remember their ephemeral, lightweight air.
