About The Artwork
My inspiration for ICCTVU is obvious and straight forward - a simple street camera. However, the symbolism and meaning behind it is a mixture of positives and negatives. ICCTVU can conjure up mixed feelings of oppression, surveillance, a bit of voyeurism depending on who and where the camera is located. In today's world of wanting to be 'safe and secure', our liberty and privacy can often be sacrificed. ICCTVU is fast becoming a classic and much sort after as a collector's piece for its contemporary value and significance as an art piece and what it symbolises.
