About The Artwork

I slowly entered the game of deforming and inventing the observed reality. This series belongs to my series: "Entropy" based on my interest in the movement of nanoparticles and their similarity to the large stellar bodies. Here I have represented as colour cascades. It is acrylic on canvas cotton duck prepared with casein glue. Acrylic is also diluted in casein glue, and liquid watercolour with lines of charcoal and applied in thin layers that allow transparencies.

The canvas is stretched on a wooden frame and artwork is ready to hang. Framing is not required. The painting is signed by both sides and also with certificate of authenticity signed by the author.

Annabel Andrews was born in the Isle of Wight in 1940   now lives and works in El Escorial near Madrid Spain, where the colour,  light and volumes of the mountains inspire her work. As also  her friendship with the late Spanish artists Pablo Palazuelo and Jose Guerrero. By preparing her own canvases with home made casein glue base and zinc white the work is light and luminous ready for applying acrylic colours.
