About The Artwork
I am inspired by dance, ballerinas, and the way they can convey feelings through their bodies without using words. In the black backgrounds, the messages that the dancers transmit through the body gain more intention and the shadows on the naked bodies intensify the drama. The Ballerinas collection intend to reflect the women nature and feminine sensuality through Ballerinas that represent themes such as acceptance and detachment, self-reflection and surrender, escape and independence, and thus seeks to embody her characters of feelings. Light and shadow contrasts plays a central role in the canvas often recalling scenes of stage photography. The Ballerinas emerge in black backgrounds inhabit the canvas as they were small flames of intense light and whose body volume appears and disappears merging into a black immensity.

Observant by nature and attentive to details, I found in painting a way to broaden the plane of my observations and explore their meanings. Painting is for me, the most genuine way of communicating my inner Universe. My relationship with art comes from an early age. I had my first contact with a painting studio during the teens and since then i´ve been exploring painting in a self-taught way. In addition to my particular taste for urban design and architecture, dance and photography are also a source of inspiration for him. My artwork ranges from drawn and colored cities, abstract landscapes and ballerinas portrayed against black backgrounds in medium light. Sometimes the paintings reflects the nature and female sensuality, symbolizing themes such as acceptance and detachment, withdrawal and surrender, escape and freedom, and sometimes they reflect urban order and chaos, through the interpretation of everyday experiences of the different cultural contexts of the cities.
