About The Artwork
Kalamkari is a beautiful ancient style of hand painting on cotton; it originated in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, India. The speciality of this technique is that it produces beautifully coloured fabrics without the use of artificial colours. This picture represents Durga Devi (Hindu Goddess) who is known as the protective mother of the universe. Hence, I decided to replicate this beautiful print on canvas. NOTE: The signature can be removed if required.
