I present to your attention my new painting "Lada". When I painted the face, I felt like it was some kind of protecting, caring goddess, I could feel such feminine energy. Therefore, I decided to find out what goddesses the Slavs had during pagan times. And when I read about the goddess Lada, I immediately felt a resonance and there was no doubt that it was her. Lada is the ancient Slavic goddess of love, harmony, harmony, world order and well-being. I also wanted to draw something related to my native land, and one of the first things that came to mind was red poppies. Since long ago there was a lot of symbolism with this plant (a talisman against evil forces, a symbol of fertility, etc.), now red poppies are a symbol of memory of those who died during the Second World War and are dying in the struggle for the independence of Ukraine. I added pink poppies in the process, because they used to grow in my grandmother's house, this is a memory of those times.
