'Laura' by Yuriy Zaordonets is a contemporary painting of a nude woman body. It is blended with a background; we see only its silhouette as the artist doesn't want us to get to know her. Athletic body shape has its reference with muralist art tradition which had an influence on many artists of the soviet and post-soviet era. Despite its static nature (almost like a monument), the figure grabs the attention by its fragility, mystery, and innocence. Modern artwork mounted on stretchers (0.9″ depth). Since then, over the years, Yuriy has successfully combined multiple art community leadership roles with his personal exhibitions. His artworks are in private collections in Europe, Australia, Asia, US and Africa. Yuriy Zakordonets has a very peculiar style. He has worked with different materials: wood, metal, and canvas—but also leather, which almost became his signature.
