About The Artwork

This urban landscape shows a beautiful building (in the foreground) which was originally a lighthouse to illuminate ships arriving the Río de la Plata. I have always loved this building `The Barolo Palace´ which references and homage the Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri. A unique architectural style with a mixture of neo-romantic , neo-Gothic and even the dome with its unique Indian style representing the union between Dante and Beatriche, the protagonists of the Divine Comedy. I loved painting this amazing building and the surrounding view of the city. My paintings are expressive atmospheric landscapes of visited or invented places. The color combination presented in each piece is deeply thought and gives each work an overwhelming feeling. Either vibrant, intense or calm colors, they bring light into the rooms. This high quality painting is done on canvas, and varnished to protect it from dust and time. The painting is signed on the front and with the painting you will get a certificate of authenticity.

My work is inspired by the magnificence of the views and the power of color. I have explored classical and contemporary techniques to discover that color has become my own language. I focus on color which is one of my passions in each painting I face. I enjoy creating new combinations, either subtle or saturated, but always to enhace the most of each pigment to produce the desired effects on the work. I paint in my Studio and I´m particularly fond of pleinair painting in my city and outdoors in trips or hikes. One of my passions are the views from above or eagle views, which may came from my mountain trekking trips since a I was a child and have persisted in my memory ever since. This views are later combined with specific colors for creating a subtle and immeasurable universe with the beauty and the magnificence of the natural world and light. Resides, I´m also interested in still life painting. I choose objects with significance and usually paint them with palette-knife to produce realistic effects to dazzle in color harmonies and combinations.
