About The Artwork

The first house I ever bought had a Little Brick Chimney just like this one. It is funny how things stick in you mind and 51 years later I am creating a painting about that same chimney. I can vividly remember it because I had to get up on the roof and repair it, to stop it leaking water into our lounge room. This is contemporary piece of sorts, very symbolic. The background color is " Monument " a deep grey. A very popular color here at present. The painting is 122 cm wide and 91 cm high and 4 cm deep. It weighs 2.5Kg. It is a quality frame and has painted edges so there is no need for an external frame. It is finished in a satin varnish which enhances the color and protects the paint. On the back is a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity. It is wired ready to hang and has felt cushions to protect your walls This painting will be shipped in a crate.

Patrick has lived on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia for over 60 years. His work reflects parts of his life with a bold and vibrant colour palette. The assortment of bases gives Patrick’s work depth, while the bulk and shadow lines bolster the pieces character. As Patrick’s work is evolutionary his latest style remains contemporary abstract. He uses various mediums and acrylics in fluid states to produce a mixture of abstract colours and shapes. Most of Patrick’s inspiration comes from the everyday world around him. He enjoys the challenge of mastering different techniques. Patrick has had many exhibitions, either solo or combined with other artists. He has won acclaim and awards for his abstract imagination. His work is displayed in galleries on the Central Coast and in private collections. .
