Technological advances in the past decades have paved the way for rapid economic growth. Unfortunately, that progress has come at the expense of environmental quality. In the name of prosperity, human beings are rapidly altering wildlife habitats, irreversibly throwing the natural environment off its delicate balance. According to WWF, more than 10,000 species go extinct every year due to loss of habitat as a result of human activities, such as agriculture and industry. A Native American chief once said, “the Earth does not belong to man, man belongs to the Earth. All things are connected like the blood that unites us all. Humans did not weave the web of life, humans are merely a strand in it. Whatever man does to the web of life, man does to himself". Nature and human society are not separate. When one suffers, so too does the other. Through the exhibits, the artist endeavours to express the state of confusion of a polar bear wandering off to outer space in search of an iceberg as well as the sense of helplessness experienced by animals facing imminent extinction.
